This holiday season while you are rushing all over bringing joy and light to everyone you see, remember that you if you don’t have it, you can’t give it!
There are so many people to think of and so many things that need to get done! However, while you are showering love on all of the important people in your life, don’t forget that YOU are ALSO one of the important people in your life!
Be good to yourself or you wont really be that good to others! Don’t kid yourself either! If you are stressed out, the smiles you force and the conversations you politely tolerate are not really adding to the holiday cheer!
Take a moment for yourself! Step out for a breath of fresh air. Smile at the frost on the trees and know that you have someplace warm to be, and warm people to share it with! Feel the crisp air and smell the drifting scent of a fire in a fire place somewhere across town. Can you hear children playing? Do you remember that kind of childish joy?
That is the space you need to come from! That is the love you want to share! Take as much time as you need, because when you return, beaming with the kind of soft but radiant smile and glowing warmth that only GENUINE peace and joy can deliver, you will be giving the best you can possibly give to those who matter most.
